Les Claypool and Sean Ono Lennon share new single ‘WAP’ and 2026 tour dates

Fans of The Claypool Lennon Delirium have reason to celebrate! The experimental rock duo, made up of Les Claypool and Sean Lennon, is back with their first new music since 2019. Their latest single, “WAP (What A Predicament),” is making waves with its unique sound and thought-provoking lyrics.

According to the press release, the song is “a warped meditation on morality, artificial intelligence safety, and the slippery slope of optimization without empathy.” In simpler words, it’s a wild, psychedelic track that explores how technology and algorithms are shaping our world – all wrapped in a heavy, fuzz-filled rock groove. Claypool and Lennon showcase their signature style, blending strange, theatrical sounds with sharp, clever commentary on modern life.

This release comes after a busy few years for Les Claypool, who has been juggling multiple projects. Besides working on his solo music, Claypool has also revived his experimental band, The Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, which he first formed in 2000 during a break from his main band, Primus.

Fans won’t have to wait long to see Claypool perform live either. In 2026, he’s launching the Claypool Gold Tour, which promises a truly unique experience. The tour will feature Claypool performing songs from three of his bands – Primus, The Claypool Lennon Delirium, and The Fearless Flying Frog Brigade – with a constantly changing setlist. It’s a rare chance to see the full scope of his creativity in one show.

The tour kicks off on May 20th at the Reno Events Center in Nevada and will hit more than 20 cities across the U.S., including Salt Lake City, Chicago, Boston, and Phoenix. It all wraps up with a special July 4th show in Napa, California, making for a memorable Independence Day celebration.

Tickets go on general sale January 23rd at 10 AM local time, with presales starting January 21st at 10 AM local time.
