“One riff, one raw scream — and the Grammys felt like they stopped for a few seconds.” Post Malone took the lead, Slash tore through the guitars like he was summoning rock’s spirit back to the stage during the 2026 In Memoriam. Behind them, images of Ozzy Osbourne flickered across the screen — while Sharon, Kelly and Jack struggled to hold back tears in the crowd. No long speeches, no extra gloss — just sound doing the goodbye. Earlier, Yungblud had already named Ozzy as the man who shaped his identity and his music. For a moment, the Grammys turned into a farewell — loud, heartbreakingly real, and impossible to forget.

Gone but not forgotten.

Ozzy Osbourne’s loved ones were brought to tears as Post Malone, Slash and more artists gathered together on the Grammys 2026 stage Sunday night to pay tribute to the late Prince of Darkness.

Malone, who duetted with Ozzy on his 2019 hit “Take What You Want,” led a raucous rendition of the Black Sabbath hit “War Pigs” on vocals.

Slash paid tribute to the “Crazy Train” and “Shot in the Dark” hitmaker by jamming along on guitar as Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith joined in behind them.

As photos from Ozzy’s life were cast across the screen in the background, the camera panned to the late rocker’s family, including his widow, Sharon Osbourne, and their kids Jack, Kelly and Aimee.

Yungblud, who won this year’s Grammy for best rock performance for his live cover of Ozzy’s “Changes,” also remembered the late heavy metal pioneer during his acceptance speech earlier in the day.

“To grow up loving an idol who helps you figure out your identity not only as a musician but also as a man is something that I’m truly grateful for,” Yungblud, 28, began.

“For then to get to know them and form a relationship with them and honor them at their final show and then receive this, the cost of it is something I and all of us are finding so strange to comprehend,” he added. “We f–king love you, Ozzy.”

The “Zombie” singer went on to thank Ozzy’s family for the opportunity.

“The last time I saw Ozzy Osbourne, you asked if there’s anything you could do for me,” Yungblud, who was joined on the stage by Sharon, continued.

“I answered the music was enough and I can safely say on behalf of all of us that still stands now and will forever,” he said. “You’ll be with me every time I’m nervous and onstage at every show.”

Yungblud finished his speech by saying, “God bless rock music and god bless f–king Ozzy Osbourne.”

Ozzy’s family announced his tragic passing on July 22, 2025. He was 76.

His cause of death was later determined to be from cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the “Dreamer” singer’s loved ones said in a statement to The Post at the time.

“He was his family and surrounded by love,” they added. “We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

The former Black Sabbath frontman was laid to rest in his hometown of Birmingham, England, on July 31.

Tens of thousands of fans visited the Black Sabbath bridge and bench on Broad Street to leave tributes, flowers and letters for the late heavy metal pioneer.

Two weeks before his death, Ozzy performed one final show with Black Sabbath during the band’s “Back to the Beginning” farewell concert in Birmingham.

“You know, it’s just such a beautiful thing that his peers are showing their love and respect for his work tonight, and it’s going to be an emotional experience for us,” Kelly said on the Grammys 2026 red carpet before the ceremony, per People.

“My father was one of the greatest men to ever live [on] the planet,” she added. “And to show I don’t have enough gratitude to the Grammys for what they’re doing tonight. You know, it’s a really beautiful thing.”

“At the end, George Harrison spoke 3 words — and they ended decades of hurt.” In that small Los Angeles hospital room, everything felt quieter than it should’ve. George Harrison was painfully thin, but his eyes were sharp, almost peaceful. Paul walked in slow, like he already knew this would be their last real moment. No cameras. No crowds. Just two men who once changed the world… and once hurt each other more than they meant to. George reached for Paul’s hand, squeezed it with what little strength he had left, and whispered three soft words. Paul froze. Then his eyes flooded. He held George’s hand tighter, like he was trying to keep him here a little longer. Those words didn’t belong to fame or history. They belonged to brothers.
