Il Volo’s Ignazio Boschetto Leaves Fans Confused and Shocked Despite an Emotional and Beautiful Stage Moment

“Guys, what happened to him?” Ignazio Boschetto was a guest on C’è posta per te in the February 7 episode, together with his two friends and fellow Il Volo tenors, Gianluca Ginoble and Piero Barone.

Together, they created a powerful and emotional surprise for a couple, Annamaria and Giuseppe, whose story was marked by love, pain, and resilience. Annamaria came to the studio for her husband after the tragic loss of their daughter Sara, who passed away at just 20 years old. However, some viewers focused their comments on Ignazio, making judgments about his physical appearance.

For the record, the story ended with the opening of the envelope, amid tears and hugs: Il Volo invited Annamaria and Giuseppe to their upcoming concert in Siracusa and also gifted the couple a one-week vacation to a destination of their choice, a gesture that further moved both the studio audience and viewers at home. But the online discussion went beyond that.

Among the comments posted on X, one read: “But Ignazio, or whatever his name is, has really blown up,” while another user asked, “What happened to Ignazio?” However, many people also came to his defense: “I’m reading about the body shaming toward Ignazio and honestly, you should all be ashamed of yourselves. And all this hate toward these three guys that has been going on for years—I truly don’t understand it. You are really terrible people.”

In fact, in recent months the artist himself had already spoken about his change. In March 2025, in an interview with La Repubblica, Ignazio Boschetto openly addressed his physical transformation: “Since I got married, I’ve gained 20 kilos. Luckily, we live in a world that is becoming less and less inclined toward body shaming. Too bad the books Gianluca reads aren’t enough to make my body healthy—otherwise I’d start reading them too.”

Gianluca Ginoble, on the other hand, said: “Because they support my theory that God is a projection of man,” and spoke about his 45 minutes of daily meditation, followed by workouts. Barone added: “We live in the spectacle of nothing. There is no more intimacy or privacy. If the mystery of the artist is erased, what is left of their life?”

Beyond the controversy about weight, many C’è posta per te viewers focused on the speech Boschetto delivered in the studio. Addressing the couple, the tenor said: “I feel it’s only right to tell you that you have an incredible wife. I thought several times about speaking because I recently became a father, and it’s truly difficult. It’s something that can’t be explained. You are truly two superheroes, and it would be obvious to say that Sara is always with you.”

He then continued: “When you’re going through hard times, you have to start from your strengths, and I think your strength is having a woman like this by your side, someone with whom you can share and live the moments that are yet to come, even if they will be difficult. It’s important to have a woman beside you who supports you. I was also lucky enough to find someone who made me feel safe. In 2021, I lost my father—there is a difference between absence and loss. We have memories, and there are moments that stay in the heart. Loss is not always a bad thing, because you carry memories inside you.”

“IN 2026, ONE SONG WAS ENOUGH TO SILENCE THE GRAMMYs.” Before the first note of “Hey Jude,” Julian Lennon paused. Just long enough for the noise to fade. He looked out at the crowd, then toward Paul McCartney. His voice was quiet. Steady. Personal. Not a speech. More like something he’d been carrying for years. Then the music began. This wasn’t a performance chasing applause. It felt careful. Almost fragile. Like everyone understood this wasn’t really about the song. Paul sang with that familiar calm. Julian followed, his voice carrying something heavier — a son standing inside his father’s shadow, finally unafraid. For a few minutes, the GRAMMYs stopped being a show. It became a shared silence filled with memory. And what Julian said before singing… that part still lingers, waiting to be understood.

The lights dimmed slowly, and with them came a different kind of attention. Not the restless anticipation of…
