On June 25, Paul McCartney performed his headlining set on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival in Pilton, England. The legendary bassist performed a 33-song main set followed by five encores. During the concert, McCartney welcomed Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl to the stage to assist on a set of tunes. Grohl’s sit-in was followed by another special guest performance by Bruce Springsteen who delivered two songs with The Beatles great. To cap the show both guest musicians reappeared for the final number of the night, “The End.”

McCartney’s Glastonbury Festival performance got underway with The Beatles’ classic, “Can’t Buy Me Love,” followed by a set of Wings’ tunes, “Junior’s Farm” and “Letting Go.” After that, the band returned to McCartney’s Beatles repertoire, landing on 1966’s “Got to Get You Into My Life” off the album, Revolver.

“Come On to Me” came next and gave way to a “Foxy Lady” outro jam. The main set continued with a peppering of songs from McCartney’s expansive collection, including “For the Benefit of Mr. Kite!” followed by a ukulele intro to the George Harrison penned “Something.” Then, the band continued with a heavy selection of Beatles songs before Grohl appeared on stage to lend his skills on a bust out of “I Saw Her Standing There” and the Wings epic, “Band on the Run.” The last time McCartney performed “I Saw Her Standing There” was in 2019.
