With the Battles nearing their conclusion, Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green are preparing for one of the season’s toughest rounds — and some standout artists are already winning fans over.

Season 30 of The Voice is approaching a major turning point. The Blind Auditions are over, the coaches have built their original teams, and the Battle Rounds are cutting down the competition before the brand-new Cut Week begins.

The stakes are especially high this season because Cut Week replaces the traditional Knockout Rounds. Each coach will have to make difficult decisions about which singers deserve a direct ticket to the live shows — and which artists will have to fight for their place.

Team Kelly Clarkson: Strong Voices and Difficult Choices

Kelly Clarkson’s team includes several singers who have already made a strong impression, including Kyle Davis, whose emotional audition earned a four-chair turn, and Nina Howland, who advanced after a challenging Battle against Hazel Gerson.

Anna McElroy also secured her place after a Battle with Johnnie Kapua. Kelly praised Anna’s distinctive ability to sound both pure and raw, suggesting she could be a serious contender as the competition progresses. Clarkson also used her Steal to bring Marcus Ladden Jr. onto her team, adding another powerful vocalist to her lineup.

Team Adam Levine: Rock Energy Meets Powerful Vocals

Adam Levine’s team has a mix of rock performers and singers with distinctive vocal styles. Destinee Monroe and Dakota Cohen are among the names drawing attention, particularly after their performance of Evanescence’s Bring Me to Life became a talking point in a Battle preview.

Evan James also advanced after his Battle against Luke Curran, with Adam praising his big, powerful voice. With the remaining Battles set to determine the final team lineup, Adam still faces some tough choices about who has the strongest chance of surviving Cut Week.

Team Queen Latifah: Big Personalities and Memorable Performances

Queen Latifah’s team has delivered some memorable performances, with BigCountry and Chari among the artists advancing from the Battles.

BigCountry won his matchup against Luke Cope with a confident performance, while Chari defeated Marcus Ladden Jr. after a closely watched Battle. Marcus was not eliminated for good, however: Kelly Clarkson used her Steal to bring him onto her team.

That twist highlights how important the Steal option can be. Even when a coach decides an artist cannot continue on their original team, another coach may see a future contender worth saving.

Team Riley Green: Country Roots With Room for Surprises

Riley Green’s team combines country performers with singers who bring different musical influences to the stage. Keiyana Osmond advanced after her Battle against Brendan Coulter, with Riley praising the distinctive R&B quality in her voice.

The coach’s challenge now is to identify which artists can stand out when the competition becomes even more demanding. With Cut Week approaching, even a strong Battle performance may not guarantee a place in the live shows.

Cut Week is one of the biggest changes introduced for Season 30. After the Battles finish, each coach will have seven artists: six who advanced through the Battles and one who was saved using a Steal.

Here is how the next stage works:

  • Two artists advance directly: Each coach chooses two singers to move on to the live shows.

  • Five artists compete for one spot: The remaining team members face another performance challenge, with one earning the final place on their coach’s team.

  • America gets a say: Viewers will vote one additional artist into the live shows, completing the Top 13.

The Competition Is About to Get Much Tougher

The coaches have spent weeks choosing voices they believe can win, but the next round will test those decisions. Artists who have already earned praise from the coaches could still face elimination, while singers who were saved by a Steal may get another chance to prove themselves.

As the remaining Battles approach, fans have plenty of reasons to watch closely.

“87 seconds… and America held its breath for Toby Keith.” Standing under those bright award-show lights, Toby Keith didn’t look like a man trying to impress anyone. He looked like someone carrying the weight of a long fight, but refusing to let it dim his fire. When he surprised everyone with “Don’t Let the Old Man In,” the room went still in a way you could almost feel in your chest. And then he said it — softly, steady, almost like a prayer: “I will try to be a friend to God and finish every day.” People didn’t just clap. They stood. They cried. They knew they were watching a goodbye wrapped in courage. Toby didn’t ask for sympathy. He just showed heart — the kind that stays with you long after the lights fade.
