Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic “Prince of Darkness,” still harbors an unfulfilled musical dream: to sing a duet with Paul McCartney. During a recent Ozzy Speaks episode on SiriusXM, when asked about potential collaborators, the Black Sabbath frontman promptly declared, “Paul McCartney.” Co-host Billy Morrison, familiar with Ozzy’s long-held wish, reinforced the sentiment, urging McCartney, “if you’re listening, it’s about time.”

While deeply honored by the prospect, Osbourne admitted to self-doubt, questioning if he could meet McCartney’s legendary vocal standards. Morrison, however, quickly reassured him, referencing Ozzy’s powerful past performances. Osbourne reflected on The Beatles’ vocal dynamics, observing, “Paul had the high notes, Lennon had the low harmony. And I thought, ‘Fuck me. I always go high.’”

Despite his humility, Ozzy has immense respect for McCartney, describing him as “a really nice man” and recalling positive past interactions.

Meanwhile, Osbourne is gearing up for what might be his final live show in his hometown of Birmingham on July 5th. This landmark event will feature the original Black Sabbath lineup performing together for the first time in two decades, alongside a star-studded bill including Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera. Though his health is a factor, one thing is clear: a collaboration with Paul McCartney would be an unforgettable high point in Ozzy’s illustrious career.
