Robert Redford’s grandchildren paid tribute to the late actor by sharing never-before-seen photos of him on social media following his death Tuesday.

Conor Schlosser — the son of Redford’s eldest daughter, Shauna Redford — posted a carousel on Instagram of special moments with the “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” star.

“He was larger than life to the world, but to his family, he was simply that…family. Rest in peace, Grandpa.🐎,” the 33-year-old captioned the post.

Conor Schlosser — the son of Redford’s eldest daughter, Shauna Redford — posted a carousel on Instagram of special moments with the “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” star.
“If anyone has a favorite story of him you’d like to share, please send it to me in a private message—I’d love to collect them,” Schlosser added.In one of the photos, a much younger Schlosser sat on a brown horse with Robert. In another snap, Schlosser sat in a recliner with the Oscar winner as they opened Christmas presents.Schlosser also shared more recent photos with Robert, including one of them sitting at a dinner table and one of the photographer with his arm around his grandpa.Lena Redford — the daughter of Robert’s late son James Redford — also honored her grandfather on Instagram.

“❤️,” she captioned the post, which included several throwback photos of her with the “Indecent Proposal” actor.

Lena’s brother, Dylan Redford, wrote on his Instagram Stories that Robert was the “best grampa [sic] a grandson could ask for.”

“He also made amazing things, helped others make amazing things, and tried to make the world a better place,” the 34-year-old added.

A rep for Robert announced on Tuesday that the actor had passed away. He was 89.

“Robert Redford passed away on September 16, 2025, at his home at Sundance in the mountains of Utah — the place he loved, surrounded by those he loved,” the spokesperson told Page Six.

“He will be missed greatly. The family requests privacy.”

The New York Times reported that Robert died in his sleep. However, the “Horse Whisperer” star’s official cause of death has not been revealed.The environmentalist is survived by his wife, Sibylle Szaggars, whom he wed in 2009, two kids, Shauna, 64, and Amy Redford, 54, whom he shared with his ex-wife, Lola Van Wagenen, and seven grandchildren.Robert and Wagenen, 86, also shared two sons: Scott, who died at 2 months old from sudden infant death syndrome, and James, who succumbed to liver cancer in 2020.
