  • Alix Earle incorporated her “go-to clubbing trick” — the baby freeze — into her Dancing with the Stars routine for her second performance on the show
  • The influencer and her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy danced the jive to “Mambo No. 5” by Lou Bega, avoiding elimination and advancing to the next week
  • Earlier this week, Earle revealed the physical toll that dance practice had been having on her, sharing that she had gotten bruises on her collarbone and one of her toenails had even fallen off

Alix Earle couldn’t quite leave her wild nights on the town behind when she hit the Dancing with the Stars stage this week.

During the show’s second week, airing Tuesday, Sept. 23, the internet personality, 24, and her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy danced the jive to “Mambo No. 5” by Lou Bega — but Earle kicked off the performance with an ode to her favorite move to bust out in the club.

As the pair got in position, the influencer hit a baby freeze, a breakdancing move where she supported her body with just her hands and kicked her legs into the air. Chmerkovskiy, 39, did an impressive leap over Earle’s pose, before the duo met in the center of the stage to dance together.

On TikTok after the episode aired, Earle revealed her on-stage inspiration, posting a compilation of times she’s struck the same pose while out on the town.

“My go-to clubbing trick 😁,” she captioned the video. “I did this solely for the earle girls bc I don’t think u would let me live it down if I didn’t.”

In May, the content creator shared a video where she was invited to “shake her butt” in a dance competition — and she “panicked” and hit the baby freeze instead. (“When in doubt .. baby freeze,” she captioned the clip.)

As Earle has twirled her way through the first two episodes of the newest season of DWTS, she’s pulled back the curtain to share the experience with her followers.

On Sunday, Sept. 21, in the days leading up to her “Mambo No. 5”  dance, she broke down the physical toll that dance practice had been having on her — sharing that she had gotten bruises on her collarbone and one of her toenails had even fallen off.

“I’m signing myself up for stuff that, like, I have yet to do. Like, there’s some tricks and things that I just can’t do, but I’m like, ‘Oh, I’ll do it,’ ” she said. “I’m starting to doubt myself a little bit, but I’m going to keep trying.”

During the season premiere, Earle hit the stage with a fiery debut, dancing the cha-cha to the Britney Spears hit “Circus.” Though her boyfriend, NFL star Braxton Berrios, couldn’t make the live taping — he had football commitments — Earle told PEOPLE that he had chatted with her over the phone to give her some last-minute advice.

“I called him on the way [to DWTS], just feeling nervous and unsure and uncertain,” she said. “He assured me that feeling nervous is a privilege, and it’s okay to be outside of your comfort zone.”

Lainey Wilson just gave Christmas a full-blown country makeover — and nobody saw it coming. The 2025 NFL Christmas Gameday halftime show lit up U.S. Bank Stadium, but Lainey completely stole the moment. Dressed in a white winter jumpsuit and her signature cowboy hat, she rolled onto the field in a sleigh like a honky-tonk Mrs. Claus and tore into “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” like it belonged in a dive bar. The Vikings and Lions were on the schedule — but the real showdown happened at midfield, and Lainey won it with festive fire to spare.

He didn’t play to the stadium that night. He played to one soul at the front rail. Midway through the set, Paul McCartney lifted his hand and gently stopped the band. Thousands went quiet. He had noticed her — silver hair, standing still, no phone, listening the way people used to when music felt sacred. He stepped closer. Lowered his bass. “This one’s for you,” he said softly. The song returned smaller. Warmer. Almost fragile. She cried. The crowd didn’t cheer. They waited. When the final note faded, Paul placed a hand over his heart and nodded. For a moment, music wasn’t history. It was human.
