It was even more of a shock to see Urban added, considering he wasn’t nominated for any of the show’s categories. In fact, the last time he received a CMA nomination was back in 2020.

Still, even without any nominations, seeing Urban take the CMA Awards stage was a big moment for fans since it’s something that doesn’t happen very often.

Viewers were also curious about what song he would perform. Ahead of the big night, the Country Music Association didn’t share that detail.

Keith Urban Performs “Where the Blacktop Ends” Live At The CMA Awards

It turns out the reason Urban’s song choice wasn’t announced before the live broadcast was because he was a special guest in Lainey Wilson’s opening performance!

Together, they sang part of Urban’s 1999 hit “Where the Blacktop Ends.”

Keeping everything under wraps was definitely worth it. Urban did not disappoint during his time on stage!

Amid all the noise of headlines and heartbreak, one quiet rumor has surfaced — and it’s left fans everywhere holding their breath. Sources close to the studio claim Keith Urban recorded a private acoustic track, one never meant for release, titled simply “For My Girls.” No label. No promotion. No one outside the family has heard it — and maybe no one ever will. But that’s what makes it so hauntingly beautiful: the idea that somewhere, tucked away in a drawer or memory box, there’s a love song written not for fame… but for family.

Paul McCartney finally admits what the world never saw after The Beatles ended. In the trailer for the upcoming Prime Video documentary Man on the Run, Sir Paul hints at a quiet collapse that followed the breakup — a moment when the cheers faded, the band was gone, and something inside him slipped. “I fell very depressed,” he says softly. “But I was very lucky, because I had Linda.” What happened during those days away from the spotlight? And why is Paul only speaking about it now? The answers aren’t loud — but they’re deeply human.
