Carrie Underwood released the live version of “O Come All Ye Faithful” for her fans to enjoy just in time for Christmas.

On Thursday, December 18, Underwood shared a video on her YouTube channel of her singing the classic Christmas hymn. The performance originally appeared in her HBO Max holiday special, My Gift: A Christmas Special from Carrie Underwood.

The special was released in 2020, shortly after the singer put out her very first Christmas album, My Gift. The album includes eight classic carols and three original songs.

If you haven’t had the chance to watch Underwood’s Christmas special, now is the perfect time to see her take on one of the most beloved holiday hymns.

“O Come All Ye Faithful” dates back hundreds of years and has been credited to several authors. The earliest known printed version appeared in a book published by John Francis Wade in the mid-1700s, according to Hymnary.

The song originally had four verses, but it was later expanded to eight and translated into many different languages. In 1841, English Catholic priest Fredrick Oakeley translated it into English, helping it become popular in English-speaking countries

During her performance, Underwood takes center stage in a stunning white tulle gown that sparkles under the lights. The setup around her is simple. However, her powerful voice and the hymn’s lyrics make it an unforgettable moment for anyone watching.

Just a few days before, Carrie Underwood surprised churchgoers with an unannounced performance of “O Holy Night” & “All Is Well.”

Not only did she release her performance of “O Come All Ye Faithful,” but last week Underwood made a surprise appearance at her church in Tennessee for its annual Christmas program.

She took the stage to sing two other classic songs, “O Holy Night” and “All Is Well.”

Not a reinvention — but the quiet force behind everything you’re seeing now. For years, fans have noticed the change in Paul McCartney: calmer on stage, more open in interviews, present without seeming exposed. Few headlines explain why — but many quietly point to Nancy Shevell. She never stepped into the spotlight, never touched Beatle mythology, never tried to “modernize” a legend. Instead, she did something far more disruptive: she stabilized him. Some fans call it timing. Others call it luck. But those close to Paul say this balance didn’t happen by accident. No drama, no spectacle — just a presence that let him stay human in a world that never stops watching. And once you see it, it’s hard to unsee how much of today’s Paul traces back to that quiet choice.

“At Glastonbury, Sir Paul McCartney—a man who has held the world in his hands—suddenly seemed incredibly small. He clutched his signature bass, but this time, he didn’t strike the first note immediately. On the colossal LED screen behind him, John Lennon appeared—youthful and defiant, captured in the glory of the 60s. Paul smiled—a smile that was equal parts joy and heartbreak. Cutting-edge technology had resurrected John’s voice from the past. Two men—one aging in the present, the other frozen in time—harmonized together on “I’ve Got a Feeling.” Paul turned to the screen, his gaze fixed not on a video, but as if he were seeing John in the flesh once more. As the final note faded, Paul whispered something into the microphone that only those listening closely to the recording could hear…”
