Heartbroken but unstoppable — Ella Langley just reminded Nashville what real country storytelling feels like

Ella Langley is all about intuition (and some good dancin’) on “Choosin’ Texas.” On Wednesday night, the country star performed her latest single — a pointed ballad about her man’s new girl from the Lone Star State — at the 2025 CMA Awards, backed by a starry backdrop.

After winning a trio of awards for “You Look Like You Love Me” earlier in the night, Langley returned to the stage to soundtrack a two-stepping couple, evoking the Texas flag with her set design. She performed in front of a giant red star, strumming her guitar in red pants adorned with silver stars down the sides. “It doesn’t take a crystal ball to see / A cowboy always finds a way to leave,” she sang. “Drinkin’ Jack all by myself / He’s choosin’ Texas, I can tell.”

Langley dropped “Choosin’ Texas” — co-written with Miranda Lambert, who waved a Texas flag from the crowd — in mid-October as part of the rollout for her upcoming project, the follow-up to her Hungover album. She most recently wrapped her Still Hungover Tour last week, and joined Luke Bryan for a holiday duet of “Winter Wonderland.”“There’s going to be some dancing,” she teased about the performance in an interview with Music Mayhem. “You’re going to feel the longing the song describes, missing that person, whether it’s where they’re living or who they want to be with. It’s just a good ol’ country song with some two-steppin’ in it.”“There’s going to be some dancing,” she teased about the performance in an interview with Music Mayhem. “You’re going to feel the longing the song describes, missing that person, whether it’s where they’re living or who they want to be with. A different Green duet, “Don’t Mind If I Do,” earned her a nod for Musical Event of the Year. That’s the same award she won with Green last year for “You Look Like You Love Me.” (They also performed a classic country duet.)

“One riff, one raw scream — and the Grammys felt like they stopped for a few seconds.” Post Malone took the lead, Slash tore through the guitars like he was summoning rock’s spirit back to the stage during the 2026 In Memoriam. Behind them, images of Ozzy Osbourne flickered across the screen — while Sharon, Kelly and Jack struggled to hold back tears in the crowd. No long speeches, no extra gloss — just sound doing the goodbye. Earlier, Yungblud had already named Ozzy as the man who shaped his identity and his music. For a moment, the Grammys turned into a farewell — loud, heartbreakingly real, and impossible to forget.

With New Year’s lights still softly glowing, Ignazio Boschetto isn’t standing under spotlights. He’s holding his son, Gabriele, close. No applause. No music. Just a quiet smile that says everything. There’s something different in his eyes here. Slower. More careful. Like someone who understands how fragile time really is once it has a name and a heartbeat in your arms. In that simple embrace, fame fades into the background. What’s left is gratitude. Purpose. A kind of strength that doesn’t need to be loud. This is a different stage. The one that waits at home. And somehow, it feels like the most important one he’s ever stepped onto.

With the echoes of New Year’s celebrations still lingering in the air, Ignazio Boschetto is nowhere near a…

John Lennon’s will had room for a fortune… but not for Julian’s name. When the estate was left to Yoko and Sean, the most heartbreaking thing wasn’t the money — it was the way Julian was “erased from the page” as if he never existed. People say it’s just a legal formality. But for Julian, the wound lies in something else: being called by name, being acknowledged, being seen. And there’s a detail behind that will that still sparks debate among fans… because it makes the story even more painful
