Paralyzed Dog Abandoned with a Bag of Diapers Finds Love Before Her Final Goodbye

Imagine a little dog named Lunetta, tied to a rusty railing on a busy street in Salta, Argentina. She couldn’t walk—her back legs were strapped to a creaky old wheelchair, and she lay there on the hot pavement, hungry and thirsty. Most people walked right by, but Lunetta’s big, hopeful eyes caught the attention of someone special—a worker from a nearby dog care place. They couldn’t believe what they saw: a beautiful pup abandoned with just a bag of diapers and a note saying her owners couldn’t take care of her anymore.

Right away, the rescue team from Luba Salta zoomed in like superheroes. Two volunteers scooped Lunetta up, checked her over, and took her somewhere safe. They put her in a cozy foster home and posted her story on Facebook, hoping someone out there would want to love a paralyzed pup like her.

Guess what? An American family saw her picture and said, “She’s ours!” It felt like a fairy tale—Lunetta was going to get a new home! But sadly, that family didn’t know how much help she needed. They didn’t take good care of her, and poor Lunetta got really sick with a nasty infection. Things looked dark again.

Then, like a twist in a movie, another American family stepped up. They weren’t just kind—they were ready to be Lunetta’s heroes. They gave her medicine, love, and a fancy new wheelchair that fit her perfectly. Suddenly, Lunetta wasn’t just surviving—she was thriving! She zoomed around with a new doggy sister, raced through parks, and even played in fluffy snow. At Christmas, she wore a little hat and snuggled by the tree with her family. Life was a big, happy adventure!

Lunetta turned 11, and everyone threw her a birthday party. But a month later, she got sick again. Her family rushed her to a special animal hospital, where doctors tried hard to save her. Lunetta fought like the brave girl she was, but in the end, she closed her eyes for the last time, surrounded by the people who adored her.

Her mom wrote on Facebook, “Lunetta was my little star. She changed my whole world, and I loved her more than anything.” Even though Lunetta’s story ended, her final year was packed with fun, cuddles, and all the care she’d always dreamed of. She showed everyone that every dog—no matter what—deserves a shot at a happy life.

Rest easy, Lunetta. If her tale tugs at your heart, tell your friends and family about her. Let’s keep her memory alive!
