One morning, I was driving to work on a busy road when I saw a small animal on the side of the road. It looked like it had been hit by a car. As I drove past, the little creature lifted its head. I stopped my car, turned around, and went back to check on it.
When I got closer, I saw it was a tiny fox pup. I took a blanket from my car, gently wrapped the pup in it, and placed him carefully in the front seat next to me. I named him Buddy and petted him softly, telling him everything would be okay.
I pulled over and called every vet I could find, but they said they couldn’t help wild animals. Then, one kind vet told me about a nearby wildlife rescue center. I drove there as quickly as I could, still petting Buddy and feeling very worried.
When I arrived at the wildlife center, the nice people there took Buddy in. They checked him and said he was hurt but would get better with time and care. They told me Buddy wouldn’t be able to live in the wild again, but he would stay at the center. There, kids and adults could visit him and learn about amazing wild animals. I was so happy Buddy would be safe and loved.
