Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli has shaped the landscape of light opera, and crossover classical pop, over the last 25 years. He has become best known for his signature song ‘Time to Say Goodbye’, as well as his renditions of Neapolitan songs and the great Puccini aria ‘Nessun dorma’.

But did you know that his children are also musically gifted?

Here is everything you need to know about the singer’s children, from their ages and careers, to the family’s Christmas album.

Does Andrea Bocelli have children, and how many does he have?

Andrea Bocelli has three children, Amos and Matteo, with his first wife, Enrica Cenzatti, and Virginia Bocelli with his now-wife, Veronica Berti.

The famous tenor met Enrica Cenzatti while he was playing piano bars in Italy to support his law studies at the University of Pisa, and they married in 1992.

Enrica and Andrea welcomed their first child, Amos, on 22 February 1995, and their second son Matteo shortly after on 8 October 1997.

Andrea had his third child – and his first daughter with Veronica Berti, who he married in a glamorous ceremony in Tuscany in 2014 – two years before the wedding. Virginia Bocelli was born on 21 March 2012.

Who is Matteo Bocelli, how old is he and what does he do?

Matteo Bocelli, 24, has followed in his father’s footsteps, carving out a successful career in classical music and even releasing multiple duets with Andrea.

Notably, the father-son duo released ‘Fall On Me’, a song that played over the end credits of Disney’s The Nutcracker and The Four Realms (2018), marking Matteo’s public musical debut.

Andrea has spoken about his son’s musical abilities in the past, revealing the differences between their voices to Billboard: “Technically they are very different, but there is one thing that makes them most similar: the attitude.

“But that is something that you cannot learn, that cannot be taught. That is something you are born with,” the proud father continued.

Who is Andrea Bocelli’s first child, Amos Bocelli?

Amos Bocelli, 27, was born in 1995. He has also made musical strides, graduating from university with a Bachelor of Arts in piano. The gifted pianist has frequently accompanied his father in musical television appearances.

He also became a member of the board of directors of his father’s charity initiative, ABF Andrea Bocelli Foundation, in 2016.

She has featured alongside her dad in videos of the pair duetting the likes of ‘Hallelujah’, ‘Ich Liebe Dich’ and most recently, ‘Dare To Be’ from the 2024 film Cabrini. What a talented family!

Has the Bocelli family released a Christmas album together?

In October 2022, Andrea, Matteo and Virginia Bocelli released their first ever album together, A Family Christmas, featuring trio arrangements of traditional carols including ‘Away in a Manger’ and ‘Joy to the World’, popular Christmas tunes including ‘Feliz Navidad’, and new tracks including ‘The Greatest Gift’, cowritten by Bocelli and Academy Award-nominated composer, Stephan Moccio.

The family released a deluxe edition of the album in 2023, featuring four new recordings including ‘Let it Know’ and ‘Winter Wonderland’ and five additional bonus tracks including ‘Do You Hear What I Hear’ recorded with a cappella vocal group Pentatonix.

The album followed Andrea’s hugely popular Believe in Christmas concert, livestreamed over lockdown in 2020.

“Come on Mary, let them see how amazing you are.” Rod Stewart said it softly. Like only a brother could. His sister Mary is 94. And when she stepped onto the stage at Edinburgh Castle, the night changed. She didn’t rush. She waved. She smiled. She even nudged the band forward, like she’d done this her whole life. Rod stood beside her, eyes glowing. Proud. Gentle. Almost emotional. You could feel it — not just music, but family. Years of love wrapped into a few quiet minutes. And when he reached for her hand… the crowd forgot to breathe.

“The man whose guitar once told the world stories of sultans and swing laid it down… and reached for his wife’s hand.” — At London’s Union Chapel, fans expected Mark Knopfler’s legendary fingerpicking, but instead they witnessed something far rarer: Kitty Aldridge, the woman who had quietly walked beside him for three decades, stepping into the light. Nervous but radiant, she sang Romeo and Juliet with him, her untrained voice trembling, his guitar steadying her like a vow renewed in real time. Mid-song, Knopfler stopped and confessed: “I thought I understood love when I wrote these songs. But it wasn’t until you.” The hall fell silent, then erupted, strangers holding each other’s hands as tears streamed. And when they ended with a new ballad, A Hand to Hold, it was clear this wasn’t a concert — it was a love story, whispered through strings and carried on a trembling harmony that belonged only to them
