Luke Bryan And Brad Paisley Scheme To Prank The American Idol Judges

The fan-favorite reality singing show American Idol is set to return for its 24th season. Anticipation for the premiere has been building as the network has released sneak peeks of what is to come.

During a recent visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live, judges Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and Lionel Richie chatted about the upcoming season of the show. Bryan revealed that he and country star Brad Paisley had “conspired” to play a little prank on his fellow judges while filming.

During the show’s audition round, the “Drink A Beer” singer wore an in-earpiece through which Paisley fed him lines from a hidden room. He poked fun at an unsuspecting contestant, loudly yelling “PASS” just as the hopeful was about to sing.

Underwood and Richie looked flabbergasted at their fellow judges’ behavior. The former Idol champion even asked,

“Did you take shots on your bathroom break?”

Underwood admits to Kimmel that the “worst part” of the joke was that, even though Bryan was acting unusually, she says she “didn’t think that much of it.” See the hilarious clip in the video below!
