The Voice Season 30 Gets an Air Time Change as NBC Makes Room for the NBA

Fans of The Voice will need to adjust their weekly viewing. NBC is changing the Season 30 schedule to make room for its NBA coverage.

NBC begins airing NBA games on Tuesdays starting October 20, and the basketball games take over the show’s previous Tuesday time slot. That means The Voice will no longer air on two nights.

The season has had an uneven schedule so far. Premiere week had three episodes, followed by a single episode on September 28, then two more the following week. The show was on both Monday and Tuesday on October 12 and 13, for two hours each night.

Starting this week, the schedule settles down. The show moves to Monday nights only, for two hours from 8/7c to 10/9c. Even once the Live Shows begin, it will air only once a week, on Monday nights. Season 30 continues Monday, October 19, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

Viewers who stream should note that Peacock will still carry episodes the day after they air on NBC, which means Tuesdays once the Monday-only schedule begins.

One more change may be coming. One report says the start time changes in November, with NBC’s fall lineup moving the show to 9 p.m. That wasn’t confirmed elsewhere in my search, so check local listings for November.

The Voice' Season 30 Facing Major Scheduling & Voting Changes

The schedule shift comes with changes to the format. Season 30 introduces a new round called Cut Week, described as the biggest elimination in Voice history. The Live Shows will also use a new format. Performances and eliminations happen in the same broadcast, and fans vote in real time. Season 30 will have six weeks of Live Shows after the earlier rounds end. ‘The Voice’ Season 30 Schedule, Explained: How Many Days a Week Is It On? +2

At the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the tribute to Sly Stone unfolded with a clear sense of purpose — not to rewrite his story, but to finally place it in full view. This was not a flashy medley or a nostalgia-driven celebration. It was a carefully built acknowledgment of how deeply one artist reshaped the sound, politics, and possibilities of modern music.

Tammy turned her face away, hiding the tears rising in her eyes. The crowd erupted in applause, thinking it was just part of the act. But the band knew better. After the show, George left something on Tammy’s dressing table—an object that haunted her, and one she would never mention in her memoir…
