Unexpected Boyzone Magic: Ronan Keating Crashes Keith Duffy & Brian McFadden’s Show for Surprise Rendition

We had a picture in our mind of what a Boyzone reunion would look like – if there ever was one – and this certainly isn’t what we were expecting.

Keith Duffy has kept up his career as a singer, joining forces with Westlife castaway Brian McFadden to form the supergroup Boyzlife.

Performing a combination of Westlife and Boyzone hits, the duo have enjoyed gigging and a fair amount of success, but we never pinned them to be hired to play the party of none other than renowned South African golfer Gary Player.

Boyzlife will bring their new live tour to venues across Ireland with dates at Ulster Hall, Belfast on Wednesday 15th January, Leisureland Galway on Friday 17th January, City Hall Cork on Saturday 18th January, and 3Olympia Theatre,Dublin on Sunday 19th January 2025. At the recent gig, Keith and Brian went about their usual stage antics, bouncing off one another’s energy and performing dance routines.

Then, for one song only, they were joined by a very special guest in the form of Boyzone star Ronan Keating.

Together, the trio impressed the crowd with a rendition of Boyzone’s Love Me For a Reason (dance moves, high notes and all!)

‘What a night performing for @gary.player tonight. Performing with Ronan in ‘Love me for a reason’ brought back real emotion and love,’ Keith wrote.

Speaking previously to Spin 1038 about whether Boyzone would ever reunite, Keith said: ‘Absolutely. Absolutely. I’m now – listen – I’m very busy, I’m touring at the moment with Brian McFadden, we’re doing a sold out tour and our show is great.

‘We’re nine years together now, and we’ve a great thing going, but to get the opportunity to stand on stage again with Ronan and Shane [Lynch] and do Boyzone stuff, one last time for the fans I absolutely would do it, yeah.

‘And I think it’d be a very clever move to bring Brian McFadden with us, ’cause he’s a very talented lad, and if the Westlife boys don’t want him, we’ll take him!’
