Steven Tyler and Yungblud in Aerosmith’s ‘My Only Angel’ video

Aerosmith have joined forces with Doncaster rocker Yungblud for their first new song in 13 years.
The Boston rock legends have posted a one-minute preview of a euphoric rock song called ‘My Only Angel’ to their YouTube channel, and it sees Steven Tyler trade vocals with Yungblud with great gusto.
Alongside the audio, Aerosmith and Yungblud have released a video teaser from the recording studio. In the clip, Yungblud – real name Dominic Harrison – plants a kiss on Steven Tyler’s cheek after they share the mic together.
A whooping, jubilant Steven Tyler then says to the camera, “Nice! Good! F—in’ A! Hallelujah!”

‘My Only Angel’ is Aerosmith’s first new studio material since their 2012 album ‘Music from Another Dimension!’. It’s currently unclear when exactly the full version of the track will premiere.
The song tease comes just over a week after Yungblud joined forces with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York to perform Ozzy Osbourne’s ‘Mama, I’m Coming Home’.
Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt and Black Sabbath/Ozzy keyboardist Adam Wakeman also performed with Yungblud as part of the Ozzy Osbourne tribute, and the seven-minute medley opened with ‘Crazy Train’ and ‘Changes’.

The Darkness guitarist Dan Hawkins hit headlines across the globe when he savaged the Ozzy Osbourne tribute on social media, writing: “Another nail in the coffin of rock n roll. Cynical, nauseating and more importantly; s—.
“Makes me sick how people jump on this s— to further their own careers.”
In the wake of the backlash, Justin Hawkins defended his younger brother in an 18-minute episode of his excellent podcast Justin Hawkins Rides Again.
Mimicking Yungblud’s headbanging while holding the microphone stand at one point, Justin quipped: “It’s like you’ve watched a movie about rock and metal. I suppose it’s more like what a male stripper would do with heavy metal music playing. It doesn’t ring authentic.
“It’s really 101 School of Rock stuff, you know? It’s just the latest in a long line of – I’m sorry to say it – poseurs.”

Later, Justin added of Yungblud’s performance: “It’s rock n’ roll, but not as we know it. It kind of has this Disney veneer over the top of it, like it’s rock n’ roll seen through an Instagram filter of some sort. That’s what makes it galling I think for people who have tweeted to voice disdain.”
“For seven minutes, the world is looking at rock and this is what we’ve given them,” he also stated.
