Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart & Sting are an unmatched vocal trio on “All For Love” - The Music Man

What do you get when you put together three of the greatest voices in rock music? Why, of course, you get Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, and Sting’s collab on “All For Love”. The three legends teamed up to perform the hit power ballad for the soundtrack of the 1993 blockbuster film, The Three Musketeers. It’s not often that three A-list frontmen get together to perform on a single track, and they sure don’t make ‘em like this anymore, folks.

The writing team behind “All For Love” also boasted A-listers, with Adams teaming up with producer Mutt Lange and composer Michael Kamen to pen the song. Adams and Sting opened the tune by trading lines together, and wow, what a dream team. Things, of course, got even better from there when Stewart dropped in to duet with Adams, and then all three sang the massive chorus together. The song was an international hit for the trio, going number one just about all over the Western world.

“All For Love” has continued to be a hit with listeners, with the official music video attracting 147 million views, making it the seventh most popular video on Bryan’s channel. The studio band that tracked the song was made up of some serious players, with Sting providing bass guitar and his longtime sideman Dominic Miller playing guitar. The rest of the band was filled out by crack session players, all of whom come from Adams’ band.

Fans came out big time on YouTube to celebrate the classic hit, adding comments such as, “What do you get when three legends come together and sing? A timeless masterpiece that transcends time and every genre” and “This is one of the most amazing songs EVER made! Rod, Sting, and Bryan are living legends!” Adams sure has some talented friends in the industry, as seen when he teamed up with Tina Turner on a searing live version of “It’s Only Love”.

“All For Love” was issued as a single on November 16, 1993. It topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and stayed there for three weeks, eventually earning a Platinum certification in the US. The ballad also went to number one across most of Europe, Australia, and Canada.
In 1994, Adams roped in Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Giorgia Todrani, and Nancy Gustafson to perform on the song in a revamped live format. He also tapped co-writer Michael Kamen to conduct the orchestra for the performance.
