Lainey Wilson Celebrates Thanksgiving In New York City

One week after being named the CMA’s Entertainer of the Year for 2025, Lainey Wilson flew to New York City to perform during Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The beloved parade, celebrating its 99th anniversary this year, aired live on NBC at 8:30 AM. Spectators along the parade route were treated to performances from artists such as Cynthia Erivo, Mickey Guyton, Colbie Caillat, Russell Dickerson, Christopher Jackson, Foreigner, and, of course, Wilson.

Wilson delivered her festive performance near the end of the parade, right before Santa’s grand entrance, while standing in front of Macy’s flagship store in Herald Square.

She wore a red, fluffy coat over a longer black jacket with gold embellishments. She accented her look with gold earrings, black fringed gloves, and a plain black cowboy hat.

Wilson performed two songs, opening with her dreamy, Grammy-nominated hit, “Somewhere Over Laredo.” Then, she delivered a dazzling holiday rendition of her song “Peace, Love, and Cowboys.”

Watch Lainey’s performance during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in the video below.

Wilson played a huge role in last year’s (2024) Thanksgiving celebrations as well. She performed during the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff halftime show at the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving game.

Wilson also surprised the crowd by bringing out Jelly Roll to sing their hit duet, “Save Me.”

Lainey Wilson Recently Released A Holiday EP

Before Thanksgiving this year, Lainey Wilson treated her fans to an early Christmas gift. She released a new holiday EP titled Peace, Love, & Cowboys (Holiday Edition).

The EP features a “holiday edition” of Wilson’s “Peace, Love, and Cowboys.” The track was originally featured on the deluxe edition of Wilson’s album Whirlwind, which just won the CMA Award for Album of the Year.

The EP also includes Wilson’s version of the holiday staple “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!,” featuring Bing Crosby’s vocals to create a virtual duet.

Listen to both songs in the videos below. Which one is your favorite?

We hope Wilson and her loved ones have a happy Thanksgiving this year!

“Right now we are living through incredibly critical times…” Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance at a benefit show in New Jersey and dedicated “The Promised Land” to Renee Nicole Good. No big production, no long speech—just a few measured words, then he let the song carry the feeling. There’s a quiet pause before the music starts, and you can sense the room settle into silence. When “The Promised Land” comes in, it sounds both familiar and newly heavy—like a reminder of hope and endurance. People filmed the moment on their phones, and the clips spread quickly because the sincerity is impossible to miss. It’s classic Springsteen: using music to say the hardest things without making it feel performative. A brief tribute, but one that leaves a long echo—quiet, warm, and deeply human.
