Megan Moroney joined a star-studded lineup to celebrate the holiday season at the CMA Country Christmas.

For the 16th year, country music’s biggest stars helped ring in the season during the two-hour CMA Country Christmas television special.

Filmed in front of a live audience at Belmont University’s Fisher Center, CMA Country Christmas featured performances from Riley Green, Lady A, Little Big Town, Parker McCollum, Megan Moroney, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, BeBe Winans, and Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Jordan Davis and Lauren Daigle teamed up to host the celebration for the first time and also performed.

The all-star lineup delivered performances of Christmas classics as well as some festive modern tunes. Among the latter was Megan Moroney’s performance of “All I Want For Christmas Is A Cowboy.”

The song was written by Moroney along with Ben Williams, Mackenzie Carpenter, and Micah Carpenter and was included on the singer’s holiday EP released in 2024. The catchy lyrics have Megan revealing the one thing on her Christmas list.

Give me tall hot in a Stetson/ Something I can unwrap like a present/ Put him in some new Luccheses/ Make him call me baby/ I swear I’ve been good all year/ Please Santa please/ All I want for Christmas is a cowboy/ Who only wants me

Megan Moroney’s Christmas Traditions

In an interview prior to her CMA Country Christmas performance, Megan Moroney opened up about her family’s holiday traditions.

“I think my favorite Christmas tradition is Christmas Eve. My whole family and I, my dad makes us watch It’s a Wonderful Life, the black and white version, every single year, and he makes chocolate chip cookies. And then on Christmas Day, we have a lobster,” she shared.

Meg’s appearance on the CMA Country Christmas comes just days after she made her television movie debut in A Grand Ole Opry Christmas. Moroney was joined by Jamey Johnson for “All I Want For Christmas Is A Cowboy” in the movie that also featured an impressive lineup of other country stars.

Many once said that the wave of the British Invasion led by The Beatles had “buried” the career of Neil Sedaka. By 1964, as British music swept across the American market, Sedaka had virtually disappeared from the charts. For the next 13 years, he endured a quiet period: little radio presence, no major performances, and a career that seemed all but forgotten. However, the story does not end there. Sedaka once stated that he could write songs in the style of Paul McCartney. He moved to London, performed in small clubs, and gradually rebuilt his name. Notably, Sedaka also recorded a classical composition with the London Symphony Orchestra — an achievement previously associated with McCartney and Billy Joel. Recently, an intriguing development has circulated within music circles. Just hours after news of Sedaka’s passing was announced, McCartney reportedly canceled all of his scheduled engagements for the day. There was no official statement, no social media post — only silence. According to a source close to him, he spent the evening alone at his piano, playing a melody described as “belonging to neither man entirely, yet somehow carrying the spirit of both.” The man once said to have unintentionally overshadowed Sedaka’s career may have just composed a private farewell. For now, however, the public has yet to hear it. ▶️ Listen to the song mentioned in the first comment below.

Def Leppard didn’t just perform on America’s Got Talent—they blew the roof off. The rock legends stormed the stage with their hit “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” and the crowd went absolutely wild. The judges were on their feet, the audience was shouting every word, and for a few minutes it felt less like a talent show and more like a sold-out stadium concert. It wasn’t just a performance—it was a blast of pure rock ’n’ roll that left everyone buzzing long after the lights went down.

THE NIGHT WILLIE NELSON SANG FOR CHUCK NEGRON — AND NO ONE DARED TO BREATHE 🎸💔 At 92, Willie Nelson walked onto the stage with nothing but his worn acoustic guitar and a lifetime of memories. There was no grand announcement, only a soft dedication that moved the entire room: “Tonight… this one is for Chuck Negron.” He sang “One” slower and lower, his weathered voice carrying the weight of survival and gratitude. It wasn’t about perfection; it was about meaning. When the final note faded, the hall stayed silent for several long seconds before the audience rose to their feet—not to cheer, but to acknowledge a moment of pure, raw respect. A voice may fade, but a song sung with this much soul ensures a legacy never disappears.
