Fans are still reacting to Brendan Coulter’s elimination from The Voice, and Team Riley advisor Carly Pearce has now publicly addressed his exit with a message to the singer.
A Battle With No Easy Answer
Coulter was paired with Keiyana Osmond on Team Riley for a Battle performance of Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved.” The song was a personal one for Coulter. It is the first song he ever sang, and Riley Green praised his falsetto in rehearsals.

Pearce, the guest advisor for Team Riley, liked how the two singers traded the higher harmonies instead of letting one dominate the arrangement. The coaches were split in their reactions. Kelly Clarkson said she was craving more of Coulter in future rounds, while Adam Levine refused to pick a winner because the song belonged to his own band.
Green Picks Osmond
Green called Coulter’s performance “flawless”, and told him he could compete with almost anyone on the show. Even so, he chose Osmond as the winner, largely because of her interesting style. Coulter was eliminated and Osmond advanced with Team Riley.
Coulter’s journey on the show had looked promising. He first tried out in Season 25 but missed his chance when the teams filled up, and he finally got his shot this season. He joined Team Riley after a performance of Jelly Roll’s “Liar,” and he said he had been “dead set” on Clarkson before Green’s pitch won him over.
Fans Call It a Mistake
The result has divided viewers. Green’s pick has been called into question online, with some fans arguing that Osmond’s uniqueness edged out Coulter’s more polished vocals. The decision also left the coach conflicted. One recap noted that Green seemed upset he had paired the two singers at all.
Coulter still leaves with a loyal following. He had already built a devoted fan base before his exit. Pearce’s Message
Pearce’s public note to Coulter has been the talk of fan pages since the elimination. [Insert Pearce’s exact message here. I couldn’t find a source quoting it, so I haven’t invented wording. Paste it in or share a link and I’ll work it into the piece.]
The note fits her role this season. She has been a visible presence on Team Riley, and she and Green also recently collaborated on the song “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay.”

What’s Next
Coulter is out of the competition, but the Battles are not over. Each coach has a Steal available to bring an eliminated artist onto their team. This season also replaces the Knockouts with the new “Cut Week” round. Whether Coulter gets a second shot or his fans simply follow him to what comes next, the debate over Green’s call looks far from settled.
