This past weekend, Riley Green wrapped up his 2025 Damn Country Music Tour, which rolled into Lincoln, Nebraska, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and North Little Rock, Arkansas with his friend Jamey Johnson, who has been opening this stretch of dates for him.

Riley and Jamey go way back, and you probably know that Riley has been covering Johnson’s hit “In Color” for years now at his concerts, and he often names Johnson as one of his biggest musical inspirations.

The two Alabama natives have become good friends over the years, and I’m sure it’s been a dream come true for Riley to have Jamey opening for him… and since this was their last weekend out on the road in 2025, Riley had a hilarious prank up his sleeve for Jamey.

He dressed up like Jamey, with a full head of long, silver hair and matching beard, Jamey’s signature look, and walked out onstage looking just like him.

In a TikTok video, you can see Riley putting everything on and even trimming the beard, as he also tries to find the perfect glasses to finish off the look:

“I gotta get some glasses, though. Because he always wears those glasses, you know what I mean? They’re kind of like old people glasses.”

Jamey’s only 50, so I don’t think I would call them “old people glasses,” but still, it was hilarious to see them singing together with Riley dressed up like that:

It looks like they’ve had quite a time together…

Riley and Jamey also recently released a new duet together called “Smoke,” which is likely going to be featured on a forthcoming album from Johnson, though nothing has been officially announced yet.

It’s a staple country song about not being sad that a girl is gone, and how they’ve been recovering in the wake of her leaving:

Riley will once again hit the road for an extensive 2026 tour, and you can view the full list of dates below.

In an old California attic, Peggy’s granddaughter found a dusty vinyl — The Lennon Sisters: Among My Souvenirs. She placed the needle down. The crackle came first, then their harmony — fragile, sweet, still alive. Peggy walked in, her eyes wide. “That’s me… that’s us,” she whispered, smiling through tears. For a moment, time folded — 1960 met 2025, and three voices became one again. Some songs never grow old. They just wait for someone to remember.

As the countdown energy filled Nashville, Brooks & Dunn stepped onto the stage at New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash and instantly turned the night into a celebration. With the opening notes of “Brand New Man,” the crowd erupted, singing along to a song that has soundtracked decades of country radio. There was no reinvention and no need for spectacle — just tight harmonies, familiar swagger, and the kind of confidence that only comes from years of shared history. As fireworks lit up the city, the performance felt both nostalgic and perfectly timed, welcoming the new year with a reminder of where country music’s heartbeat still lives. For many watching, it wasn’t just a New Year’s moment — it was a return to something that still feels right.
