The Voice Season 30 Adds a New Live Companion Show — And the Schedule Is Changing!

As The Voice Season 30 moves into its Live Shows, viewers are getting more than just the usual performances and results. NBC is introducing a companion-show experience hosted by a popular digital creator, giving fans another way to follow the competition and get closer to the contestants.

There is also a schedule change to know about, so viewers who have been following the season from the Blind Auditions will want to double-check when the new episodes air. Here’s what has been announced and what it means for fans.

1. Josh “Bru” Brubaker will host the new companion show

The new companion show will be hosted by Josh “Bru” Brubaker, also known as Bru on the Radio.

Brubaker is an Emmy-winning radio host and digital creator who has built an audience of more than five million followers across social media platforms. He also hosts The Bru Show on Audacy radio stations.

For Brubaker, the opportunity is particularly meaningful because he grew up watching The Voice. He said he was honoured to go from being a fan of the show to helping bring its first TikTok Live companion broadcast to life.

2. The companion show launches November 9

The first livestream is scheduled for Monday, November 9, 2026, the same day the Season 30 Live Shows begin.

It will continue every Monday through the season finale on December 14. The broadcast will begin 20 minutes before the televised episode and continue while the main show airs.

Fans will be able to watch through the official The Voice TikTok account. This gives viewers a new way to follow the competition without waiting for separate backstage clips to appear online.

3. Fans can expect contestant interviews and backstage moments

The new livestream is designed to take viewers beyond the performances shown on television.

According to the announcement, it will feature:

  • Interviews with contestants and coaches.

  • Rotating celebrity co-hosts.

  • Special guest appearances.

  • Behind-the-scenes access to the studio.

  • Reactions and unscripted moments shortly after performances.

That last part could be especially interesting during the Live Shows. Instead of only seeing a contestant perform and hearing the coaches’ comments, fans may get a closer look at how artists react immediately after stepping off the stage.

4. The Voice has moved to a new time slot

The companion show isn’t the only change viewers need to know about. Season 30 has also moved to a later Monday-night time slot.

Previously, The Voice aired at 8 p.m. ET. Starting with the November 2 Cut Week episode, NBC moved it to 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT.

The change makes room for NBC’s Monday comedy lineup, including St. Denis Medical at 8 p.m. and The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins at 8:30 p.m.

5. Season 30 is bringing TikTok into the competition in a bigger way

The companion show is part of a larger partnership between The Voice and TikTok.

NBC previously announced that digital creators would receive behind-the-scenes access throughout the season, along with TikTok Live pre-show and post-show broadcasts. The partnership also includes tracking how much contestants’ performances are shared on the platform.

There is even a TikTok-themed episode planned during the Live Shows. NBC has also introduced TikTok as one of the ways viewers can vote for their favourite artists, alongside SMS voting.

This means TikTok is becoming more than just a place where fans watch short clips of their favourite performances. It is now part of how viewers interact with the competition.

What does this mean for The Voice fans?

Season 30 is giving viewers a more interactive experience than previous seasons. There will be the regular NBC performances, same-night results, new voting methods and now a dedicated livestream featuring interviews and backstage access.

The new companion show could also give contestants more opportunities to connect with viewers outside their performances.

For fans who want to follow every moment of the competition, November 9 will be an important date. The Live Shows begin, and the new TikTok companion broadcast will make its debut on the same night.

“3 MEN, 1 STAGE… AND A CHRISTMAS MOMENT NO ONE SAW COMING.” Il Volo didn’t just sing their Christmas medley — they played with it like three brothers who forgot they were on a big stage. The choir clapped along, the crowd couldn’t stop laughing, and Ignazio Boschetto nearly turned the whole thing into a mini comedy scene. It felt less like a concert and more like a warm Christmas movie, the kind you put on when you want to feel close to people again. And for a moment, the whole room felt like family.

He still sees him — in the quiet hours before dawn, when music drifts through memory like smoke. Paul McCartney has shared that John Lennon appears in his dreams, not always speaking in words, but through melodies they never finished together. Sometimes there’s laughter. Sometimes there’s a silence that cuts deeper than sound. “It feels like he’s still around,” Paul admits softly, “as if he’s just stepped out of the room.” For fans, it’s hauntingly beautiful — a friendship that refused to end, a creative bond so deep it continues beyond waking life. The songs don’t stop; they simply change where they’re written. In these dreams, Lennon isn’t a legend or a ghost of history. He’s a friend. A partner. A presence that lingers. For McCartney, each visit is both a gift and a reminder — comfort wrapped in loss. A melody that arrives unannounced, then fades with the morning light. Some connections don’t disappear with time. They echo. ▶️ FULL VIDEO BELOW
