What to know before Cut Week and the Live Shows

Viewers who have been tracking The Voice this fall have had to keep up with an uneven schedule, and it is about to change again. NBC is bringing NBA games to its prime-time lineup, and the singing competition is giving up part of its week. Here is how to keep up with the biggest moments of Season 30.

A bumpy start, then one night a week

The season has had an inconsistent schedule so far. Premiere week had three episodes, one episode aired on September 28, and two more followed on October 5 and 6. The season is also being broadcast with coaches Kelly Clarkson, Riley Green, Adam Levine and Queen Latifah. tvinsiderentertainmentnow

That uneven pattern is ending. NBC will begin airing NBA games on Tuesdays starting October 20, and the games will take over the show’s old Tuesday slot. The Voice will then run on Monday nights only, for two hours from 8/7c to 10/9c. The next episode airs Monday, October 19, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. ‘The Voice’ Announces Major Season 30 Shake-Up With New Schedule and Biggest Elimination Yet +2

Don’t count on a Tuesday return

Fans of last season may remember how this went. During Season 28, NBA games pushed the show to a single weekly slot, and it was not expected back on Tuesdays until the finale. The schedule also shrank further later in the season, with the show dropping to one hour starting at 9/8c on Mondays. Season 30 may see similar adjustments in November. NBC’s NBA schedule was already expected to affect The Voice’s Monday timing then. Check local listings each week. article 6dff4922 3ed3 5e62 bf04 d9640be20f67 +2

Cut Week replaces the Knockouts

The schedule is not the only change. NBC is replacing the traditional Knockout Round with a new stage called Cut Week. The show is promising “the biggest elimination in Voice history.” That makes Cut Week the episode to watch live if you don’t want spoilers. entertainmentnowtvinsider

Live Shows: voting is back

Season 29 ran without live shows or public voting, but that is changing. Season 30 will have six weeks of Live Shows, and performances and eliminations will happen in the same broadcast, with fans voting during the live performances. Even once the Live Shows start, the show will air only once a week, on Monday nights for two hours. The Live Shows will also be simulcast on NBC and Peacock in all time zones, a first for the show. ‘The Voice’ Announces Major Season 30 Shake-Up With New Schedule and Biggest Elimination Yet +2

How to catch up

Peacock remains the fallback if you miss a broadcast. Episodes arrive on Peacock the day after they air on NBC, so with the Monday-only schedule, new episodes will land on Tuesdays.

“Right now we are living through incredibly critical times…” Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance at a benefit show in New Jersey and dedicated “The Promised Land” to Renee Nicole Good. No big production, no long speech—just a few measured words, then he let the song carry the feeling. There’s a quiet pause before the music starts, and you can sense the room settle into silence. When “The Promised Land” comes in, it sounds both familiar and newly heavy—like a reminder of hope and endurance. People filmed the moment on their phones, and the clips spread quickly because the sincerity is impossible to miss. It’s classic Springsteen: using music to say the hardest things without making it feel performative. A brief tribute, but one that leaves a long echo—quiet, warm, and deeply human.

“60 YEARS. TWO BEATLES. ONE LAST GOODBYE.” 2026 hasn’t even begun, yet people are already calling it the year music will break the most hearts. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have confirmed they will share a stage… one final time. Not with a grand announcement. Just a blurry poster that surfaced before sunrise. Enough to make the whole world stop scrolling and hold its breath. No one knows where the first night will be. Only whispers of a few cities. Historic outdoor stages. And one surprise location longtime fans never saw coming. No song has been played yet. But the goodbye is already in the air. Slow. Heavy. And strangely beautiful.
