KISS legend Gene Simmons was hospitalized on Tuesday, October 7, after reportedly losing consciousness behind the wheel and crashing his SUV on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

According to NBC4 Los AngelesSimmons, 76, told deputies that he may have fainted while driving along the scenic stretch of highway before his vehicle veered across multiple lanes and collided with a parked car. The incident occurred just before 1 p.m. in the 25000 block of PCH, and the driver—identified by NBC4 as Simmons—was transported to a local hospital by LA County Fire for further evaluation.

A spokesperson for the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station confirmed details of the crash to People magazine, though they did not name Simmons directly. The spokesperson stated the accident involved “a vehicle that struck a parked vehicle,” and confirmed the driver was hospitalized.

Simmons’ wife, Shannon Tweed told NBC4 that he is now recovering at home and noted that doctors had recently adjusted his medication, which may have contributed to the incident.

The timing of the crash comes just weeks before KISS is set to reunite for a special three-day event in Las Vegas, marking their first performance together since retiring from touring in 2023. The “KISS Army Storms Vegas” celebration, scheduled for November 14–16, will honor the band’s 50th anniversary with an “unmasked” lineup featuring SimmonsPaul StanleyTommy Thayer, and other guests.

At a commemorative concert in London, Brian May stepped out, his signature white curls glowing, clutching his weathered Red Special guitar. By his side stood Roger Taylor. But the true center of attention was a haunting void in the middle of the stage—a lone, upright microphone stand with no one behind it. The music began. “Love of My Life.” Brian plucked the strings, the notes ringing out with heartbreaking sorrow. He didn’t sing. Instead, he let 80,000 fans fill the silence, singing Freddie Mercury’s part for him. Brian closed his eyes, tilting his head toward the heavens as if communing with an old friend. For a moment, it felt like Freddie was really there—right beside him, draped in his royal cape, conducting this colossal choir. When the song faded, Brian walked slowly toward that empty microphone and made a gesture that moved even the toughest men to tears…

🎶 The room didn’t erupt — it fell completely silent. And somehow, that said everything. When the name Ringo Starr was spoken, applause felt unnecessary. What filled the space instead was recognition — deep, collective, and emotional. At 85, Ringo was honored not for a single hit or era, but for a lifetime of influence that never demanded the spotlight. His drumming didn’t shout for attention. It held everything together. With timing, restraint, and feel, he shaped the sound of The Beatles in ways many only understood years later. Without Ringo, the music simply wouldn’t have breathed the same. This wasn’t nostalgia — it was respect. In an industry obsessed with volume and ego, Ringo became legendary by serving the song, the moment, the soul. Some legends create music. Others change its heartbeat forever. 👉 See the full tribute and the moment that left the room speechless in the first comment below.
