The Recording Academy have announced a special tribute performance will take place during the 68th Annual Grammy Awards to the late Prince Of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne.

On Sunday, Post Malone, Guns N’ Roses’ Slash and Duff McKagan, The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith, and Osbourne’s producer/collaborator Andrew Watt will be performing the tribute.

All of the musicians had collaborated with Ozzy throughout his career – all of them performed on the legends final two solo albums, 2020’s Ordinary Man and 2022’s Patient Number 9.

The tribute performance will likely be a three-four song medley showcasing Osbourne’s most celebrated anthems from his solo career and his hits with Black Sabbath.

Sharon and her family said they could not convey the depths of their sadness through words after Ozzy’s death in July 2025 aged 76.

Their grief was shown to the world as they attended the public funeral procession for the rocker, with the family breaking as they witnessed the sweet tributes left by the people of Birmingham.

In December, Sharon also made the brave move of speaking out about Ozzy’s death for the first time.

She spoke to her longtime friend Piers Morgan on his YouTube show, Uncensored.

During the interview, Sharon broke down as she revealed Ozzy’s poignant final ever words to her and recounted the heartbreaking details from the day he died for the first time.

She told how on the fateful day he had woken at 4am and just 20 minutes later he was dead.

Sharon was left screaming after finding him slumped over in the gym at their house after he had decided to have an early morning workout despite his ill health at the time – including previous battles with pneumonia and sepsis.

After she heard yelling she ran to the gym – where he normally used a cross-trainer for up to 90 minutes a day.

Sharon said in the interview: ‘He had a heart attack. I ran downstairs, and there he was, and they were trying to resuscitate him, and I’m like, “Don’t — just leave him. Leave him. You can’t. He’s gone.”

‘I knew instantly he’d gone. And they tried and tried, and then they took him by helicopter to the hospital and they tried, and it’s like, “He’s gone. Just leave him.”‘

Before he had headed to the gym Sharon said he had been up and down all night in the bathroom and when it was around 4.30am he said to her ‘wake up’ before she told him that he had already actually woken her up.

Then she said he told her: ‘Kiss me. Hug me tight.’

He then went downstairs to the gym for his workout and within 20 minutes he was gone.

In the chat she also told how Ozzy knew that he was near the end of his life and that a doctor had told him if he did his planned final show he ‘wouldn’t get through it’ – but he insisted on going ahead anyway.

She also insisted she will never get married again after the loss, tearfully saying: ‘That’s it for now.’

“We hadn’t really rehearsed.” In September 1969, while The Beatles still existed “on paper,” John Lennon walked onto the Toronto stage like a man with nowhere left to hide. No Paul to smooth the edges, no George to add colour, no Ringo to hold the centre — just a band thrown together in 24 hours: Eric Clapton, Klaus Voormann, Alan White… and Yoko Ono standing as an equal presence, not in the background. By most accounts, John was so terrified he vomited before going on. This wasn’t ordinary stage fright — it was something deeper: am I still enough without The Beatles? The set was rough, raw, sometimes shaky… but it was electric because for once the crowd wasn’t watching “Beatle John.” They were watching John Lennon, exposed and unfiltered, proving he could still stand on his own. And maybe right there — in that fear, and that survival — the “divorce” had already begun.
